    Exactly.

I told the few GT people I know that they should appreciate what they had with PJ. That was the best and longest run of decent/good football in 50 years for GT.

You can criticize the offense if you want to, but that scheme is whipping GT right now.
GT has bigger issues than scheme though.

It also has had Army in some pretty good games with top ranked teams lately.

Those that believe the scheme just "wont work at this level" though... are simply WRONG!

Not only that, but good old PJ option football is also one hell of a lot more fun to watch than the derivatives.

    I hope that's not sarcasm.
He made it work pretty damn well everywhere he went, including Tech -- no easy feat. And he is largely responsible for I believe five of our six titles. So, yeah, he is the great PJ.

Exactly. And I bet he enjoyed watching his option beat his old team as well.

IMO PJ was great at GS, not GT.

GT has won the ACC 3 times. Once was under PJ. He won his division 4 times. ACC coach of the year 3 times. That's pretty damn good given the limitations of that school.

Who believes we could have beaten Tech Saturday?

Outside of FSU and Clemson the ACC is not a good conference and that one ACC championship win was with Gailey's recruits (I say that because I often hear how Fritz won with Monken's recruits). He won just 3 bowl games in 11 years, and ended the season ranked just once with his own recruits. IMO, he did well at GT, but he was not great.

I don't have much doubt. Would've beaten the Citadel easily, too.

Second that. GT will be lucky to win another game all year.
