    Default Spring Seniors

Unfortunate way for our senior players in Baseball Softball Golf Track, and tennis to have their careers end this way. It will be very interesting to see what happens with eligibility. Thanks to all for being Eagles GATA!

Curious if some sports that haven't played very much of their season will be eligible for medical redshirts.

I’m very bummed out for Mason on the baseball team, He was playing with a chip on his shoulder this year. He was ticked off he didn’t get drafted last year and wanted to have a huge season this year and he was on his way, now this. I think of Ike who fought back from injury, decided to stay this rather than playing pro ball, I really believe we would have won those two games in New Orleans and made NCAA. But at least Ike helped to get us to 20 wins, Three 20 game win season in a row. There are numerous stories like this not just our kids but kids around this country. Some drastic stuff going on.

That's not going to work, because what if you get hurt and need a medical redshirt?

The bigger issue is scholarships. You have x scholarships available per sport, a lot of teams play with the max allowed. And you account for graduations and incoming freshman so it evens out. If you give everyone a free redshirt what about the incoming freshman? Are they expected to play with no scholarships? Are you going to allow an exemption? What about roster maxes?

It said indefinitely, so maybe there is a chance to salvage part of the spring teams.

How crazy would it be to play the tournament sans fans? Transportation would be the biggest problem but having the game in an empty arena with only players, coaches and camera crew would be a safer alternative.

Probably would have still happened if that player with the Jazz hadn't come up positive and shown just how easily it could spread in a locker room.

To raise morale Rudy Gobert is going to visit all the hospitals and nursing homes in the Salt Lake area and high five every patient.
