I still feel our offensive problems over last two seasons(a truly lack of explosiveness GS offense) is due to the highly inconsistent O-line/wide receiver blocking. Untill we can get some kids that can open holes and get to second level on a consistent bases we will continue to struggle. Just miss the days where we were putting 40+ points on people.
Our QB is not running an RPO heavy offense, not even with the 49ers OL.

well at times last year it sure didn’t look like we were running an option either.

No if we were smart we would have promoted McGee to HC and Atkins to OC when Fritz left. Most likely both would have moved on by now but it would have greatly changed our past and present.

If we were smart we would've brought Mike Houston over from the Citadel after 2015.

    Also a very acceptable answer.

Yep. Both EXTREMELY good options . . . especially compared to what we got.

I want to see us sign some really OL about 300 lbs and don't let them transfer out of club. We used to have guys get hurt but not jump ship like they do now.

This portal crap is nuts. Why don't we just say, if you do you will sit out a year.

You mean the guy that was coaching in HS three or four years before that and still has no coaching experience higher than RB's almost 5 years later? That guy???? Yeah he's a great recruiter but we have no idea whether he would have been even a serviceable head coach, let alone good enough to have already moved on by now.

And that guy while getting raises and I believe a job title promotion, has yet to interview for a HC gig at least per Football Scoop.

With the way it worked out, McGee is likely a MUCH better choice than who we picked.

McGee or Houston were the smart plays. Instead we got.....something else.
